2. In 2004 after the Super Bowl, Moonves was incensed, he felt personally embarrassed by what happened. He pulled Jackson and Timberlake off of the Grammys. After Timberlake, according to Moonves, tearfully apologized, he let Timberlake back on.
3. Janet Jackson, according to what Moonves told my sources, never apologized in a similar way which infuriated Moonves. Her music and her music videos were banned from all Viacom outlets (this part has been reported before) just as her new album was coming out.
4. But that wasn't enough for Moonves, for years he talked about how she embarrassed him...when he found out Jackson got a book deal with @simonschuster in 2011 (CBS company) he told people heads were going to roll. http://bit.ly/2wQtAiK
5. This reminds me so much of what happened to @MiraSorvino and @AshleyJudd for years they couldn't' figure out why their careers were suffering, until they found out last year that Weinstein was blacklisting them the whole time. http://bit.ly/2wQtAiK
6. There's no doubt that Janet Jackson's career suffered after the 2004 Super Bowl...some reasons that may seem obvious to some (although still unfair)...but this may help explain why she didn't get certain opportunities for years. http://bit.ly/2wQtAiK
7. Just found this clip of @JulieChen talking about Jackson. She appears clinical in discussing it and notes Jackson didn't apologize (she did) and Timberlake did. Watch the whole clip, it's telling as everyone else is excited about Janet and Julie isn't. http://bit.ly/2wQtAiK
8. In the clip above @THEsaragilbert said above "didn't Janet say it was an accident," then Julie Chen says "I don't know what Janet ever said about it..." but earlier in the clip she says with confidence that Janet didn't apologize (when she did). http://bit.ly/2wQtAiK
9. It appears that @JulieChen is talking about information she would know as Les Moonves wife...which matches my story. That Justin (as Les Moonves) told people, tearfully apologized to him directly and that Janet didn't which pissed him off. http://bit.ly/2wQtAiK
11. BREAKING: Les Moonves is out at CBS
13. Wow. @MrsSOsbourne deleted this tweet she put out on July 28th. I criticized her then because Sharon often criticizes @JulieChen and Leslie privately in harsh terms. To say that Sharon has stabbed people in the back at CBS to save herself is an understatement.
15. But don’t be fooled by all these moves. Leslie remains a very powerful and wealthy man with many friends in the industry (unlike Weinstein who was largely abandoned). In the past 11 years he’s made over $600 million in compensation. People are not shunning him....yet.
17. Last year I published this email in a profile I did of Kathy Griffin. It's from CBS Board Member Arnold Kopelson. He wrote this to her after the infamous Trump photo. Read this email carefully and remember it's from a board member of a public company. http://nym.ag/2xEHHG3
18. Its officially official - CBS has announced that Les Moonves is gone immediately. Also the press release notes that Moonves and CBS will donate $20 million to yet to be named #MeToo organization(s).
19. How do you know nothing has changed in the media business? When Les Moonves is accused of a raft of horrific behavior and this is the way he is sent off by the board of directors.
20. Joe Ianniello is serving as acting CEO. Here is how Joe has been described to me by well-placed sources in the past:

1. "Leslie's Henchman"
2. "A Thug"
3. "A Bully"
21. It goes without saying, the victor in all of this is Shari Redstone. But lots of questions remain unanswered about what CBS board members knew and when they knew it.
22. NEWS: I’ve just been told that @NorahODonnell will be making the first public comment about Leslie Moonves tomorrow morning at 7 AM. I’m also told that @GayleKing will not be anchoring tomorrow (don’t read into this).
23. Tweeted by @JoAnnRossCBS, President and Chief Advertising Revenue Officer of CBS, on July 27, 2018
24. Statement from Les Moonves.
25. Terry Press, the president of CBS films, but out this statement of support for Les Moonves on July 30th. I was surprised when she did because I know some of the stuff she has witnessed in the past with other executives and filmmakers. She wasn’t blind to the realities...
26. BTW, multiple sources have told me that President Trump is a big fan of Shari Redstone...I wouldn't be surprised if he tweets something nice about her.
27. Les Moonves has been offered an $80 million dollar severence package. All in CBS stock. But that is dependent on the results of an investigation into allegations of misconduct.
28. @NorahODonnell’s first remarks on the forced resignation of her former boss Leslie Moonves. This is the second time in less than a year that she’s had to address the misconduct of men at CBS.
29. NEW: A stunning but unsurprising report from the New York Times. One of Les Moonves alleged victims was threatening to come forward, and Moonves was trying to get her a job at CBS to secure her silence. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/12/business/cbs-les-moonves-board.html
