Just the other day a jaco jumped into my mentions to say apartheid and nazism were two distinct ideologies and man how fucking ignorant.

Germany did a denazification project not bec they’re better or smarter but bec it was contingent, in some way, on postwar funding to rebuild society and for the west to ensure it doesn’t remilitarise. Why did the economic powers not demand SA de-apartheidify?
Other than not upsetting the commodities pipeline in the 90s when capitalism was seen to have won, i have to ask whether black bodies matter less to the global powerhouses, that the suffering of black people don’t carry that same weight as other victims.
I know SA is small fry geopolitically and not a threat like Germany was postwar, having played big roles in both world wars. Also America and Britain was fine with apartheid, mostly.

Since this thread is getting attention any second now someone is gonna say I’m anti Semitic. Listen. No. This is not about the Holocaust. This is about racial superiority policies that were similar in content and implementation in the nazi and apartheid regime.
