Not much was known about her when she first appeared and it seemed as if J’onn was not the only Green Martian anymore. She also peaked the Teen Titans interest for recruitment!

It’s eventually revealed she’s a White Martian trying to redeem for her race of conquerors action and she knows she would not be welcomed if she revealed her true Martian heritage so she decided to masquerade as a Green Martian also out of respect for J’onn.

Out of a fit of accidentally rage M’gann kills her future self which is bad news for her because her psyche stayed in with M’gann Head when she try to get Miss M to embrace her White Martian heritage.
Mental illness is something we all need to be informed about such as when they showed us M’gann developing personality disorder which led her to do things out of character or even talking to herself at times as she was trying to find the balance of who she is.
