Here is an A+ example of how people in China game the system to counterfeit while Amazon turns a blind eye to it.

FYI, the links won't stay up. After I post this, this seller will get taken down.

Let's start here. 1/n

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VQTH562/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07VQTH562p13NParams&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFaVURQRTZPRUdCV0ImZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAyODQ4NTkzUEpFVU9OMUhBMUhJJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0NDM5MzJLSzAyVERTT1dTWTkmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWwyJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
Looks like Kermit the Frog. It says its Kermit the Frog

"illuOKEy"
"Timoospeed"

My China pattern recognition is awesome. I instantly know this is Chinese.
(The pictures are also an obvious giveaway)

But look, I'm wrong! It's owned by Jasmine Arianna from Mesquite, Nevada. Must be a woman-owned business!

Nice try.

The brand name (which is required to register a brand on Amazon) is registered to Wen Lijiao "INDIVIDUAL CHINA".
Look I found Jasmine's house on Zillow!

I guess Jasmine and Wen Lijiao run their business out of this 1090 sqft...uh...rental office?
What's amazing about this is look at how many reviews that Kermit had. If you assume a 1/50 review rate they've sold at least 41,500 units. There are no other sellers of the illuOKey branded Kermit the Frog.
Quite the operation they have there!

So many licenses with Disney. I wonder if illuOkey and Wen Lijiao did a deal with Iger. Not covered in his book though.

If illuOKey's business is anything like ours, Amazon took 50% of the revenue generated by each of these sales, including 15% pure profit commissions.

What happens when this store goes down when Disney reports it?

Nothing. Amazon keeps the money :)
I looked at their top 3 best sellers.

Not a single review mentions the word "fake" "real" or "authentic"

Could Amazon be blocking those reviews 🤔
There are so many ways to fix this.

It's been going on for over 7 years.

Does Amazon want to fix it? If they did would it harm their competitive position?

Interesting questions.

P.S. There are tons of other sellers doing this. It's just this one guy.

Can only fit 4 images into a single tweet, but there are pages of this stuff.

Check the link but note that it will all disappear soon:
