When I was teaching high school chemistry, I would pretend to be stuck on a math problem and called the math teacher down a couple of times to help teach the moles lesson and unit conversion lessons. They said it wasn't until then that they realized how useful and fun math is. https://twitter.com/Sneffleupagus/status/1334641946300739587
I knew how to do the problems, but I needed the students to know how much I valued math. I also wanted them to see a scientist and mathematician at work together. The math teacher and I would work through the problems TOGETHER at the board and rejoice when we solved it.
I wanted to start a trend where the teachers switch out to teach subject areas in other courses. The history teacher come in to teach about Avogadro, Bohr, Boyle, etc. The business teacher come in to talk about the pharmaceutical industry, etc.
