We are staring into the abyss.The next few months will determine whether we live in a Constitutional Republic ruled by law or in an autocracy ruled by fascists.Our Dem reps must have the guts to call this EXACTLY what it is-GOP FASCISM. Anything less will be too little too late.

Today’s fascists know that outright censorship is unnecessary, that their flood of fake news so pollutes the media that facts/truth become virtually irrelevant.Scapegoats,wealth inequality, race, and religion are weaponized to rally/divide an increasingly desperate electorate

Crony capitalism and privatization create a symbiosis of corruption and self-dealing that blurs the lines between gov and business. Corporations are deemed ‘people’ by the nation’s highest court and Congress is owned by dark money donors and lobbyists who now ‘write’ our laws.

Huge tax cuts for the rich, deregulation/tax subsidies for big business, Fed monetary policy that props up Wall Street and creates billionaires, while the Fascists scream ‘socialism’ and use their exploding deficit as an excuse to gut Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Today’s Fascists hide in plain sight behind neutered opposition parties and sham elections that provide them with a fig leaf of democratic legitimacy. We must not help these fascists hide in plain sight. We must not let these fascists use us or our institutions as that ‘fig leaf’

Our Dem reps have two powerful tools left to fight back-they have their pulpits and they have us.
The Dems must use their pulpits to call the GOP Congress what it is-a party of fascists.
They must use their pulpits to expose the threat fascism poses to our Constitutional Republic

Elected officials who use their power to subvert democracy are not ‘conservatives’ or ‘colleagues’ or ‘republicans’ they are fascists.
Our reps must use their pulpits to expose the fascists hiding in plain sight and unleash a force more powerful than their fascism - all of us
